Two athletes from the Costa Teguise Lanzarote Judo Club, Xerach Hernández and Álvaro Cano, have qualified for the grand final of the Spanish Championship following their performance in the southern sector phase held in Cáceres.

The Costa Teguise Lanzarote Judo Club will experience an unforgettable weekend with two of its judokas representing them in the Spanish Championship final. Xerach Hernández won gold in the 66 kg category, while Álvaro Cano secured bronze in the 73 kg category, thus earning their passage to the national competition taking place in Lugo on December 5th and 6th.
Alongside the athletes, coaches Alejandro Ramírez and national referee Ernesto Lozano were also part of the delegation that has returned the Lanzarote club to the forefront of national judo. These results, following those achieved in the Canary Islands Championship held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, will ensure Canarian judo is represented in the final stage.
