The Telde team thus reaffirms its prominence in the regional competition. The winning team includes Mónica Ortega, Olivia Marrero, Antonia Guerra, and sisters Naroa and Ainara González, who have been key players in this latest achievement.
The Autonomous President's Cup was held at the CBC Puipana sports facilities in Las Playitas, Tuineje (Fuerteventura), organized by the Canary Islands Bola Canaria and Petanca Federation and the Fuerteventura club, with collaboration from the Fuerteventura Bola Canaria Federation. The competition brought together 32 teams across various categories.
The Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports of the Telde City Council, Cristhian Santana Caballero, congratulated the players and the club for this success, highlighting the consistency, commitment, and competitive level of Telde's bola canaria. "It is a pride that a team from Telde maintains this level of excellence and continues to carry our city's name to the top of bola canaria," he stated.
Santana added that this result is a recognition of those who work daily to keep this traditional sport alive and assured that "from the City Council, we will continue to value the work of our clubs and the role they play in the sporting life of Telde."
Telde's participation also included the men's teams Harimaguada and Gerardo Rodríguez, who competed for top honors, although they were unable to replicate the success of their female counterparts on this occasion.
