The boat Antigua Craiova Teguise Lanzarote, representing the Canary Islands, has achieved third position in the Spanish Cruiser Championship 'Loterías con el Deporte', held in Calpe (Alicante) this past weekend.

The competition brought together 18 teams from 13 autonomous federations. The Lanzarote boat, regional phase champion, competed in Tom 28 one-design boats provided by the organization. The team consisted of skipper Alberto Morales and sailors Alejandro Martín, Gabriel Gallego, Alonso Pérez, and Miguel Ángel Morales.
During Friday's session, three classification races were held where Antigua Craiova Teguise Lanzarote led its group, winning two races and finishing second in another, which allowed them to advance to the Gold group for Saturday's competition.
On Saturday, the final races for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze groups were completed. The organization decided to advance the final three races to Saturday afternoon due to a red alert for rain issued for the Alicante coast for Sunday.
In the final races, the boat skippered by Alberto Morales placed among the top four in the Gold group, ultimately securing third position. The podium was completed by Texus Medio Ambiente (Asturias), who were crowned champions, and Saleroso 2.0 (Murcia), who finished second.
The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, through its president Julio Romero and the Board of Directors, has congratulated the team members for their meritorious third position after a weekend of great effort.
