The production, consisting of five fifteen-minute episodes, will be officially presented on Friday, November 13th, at 11:00 AM as part of the third edition of the Canary Islands Physical Activity and Sports Fair, ExpoDeca 2026. The event will take place in a dedicated area for the Sports sector at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The docuseries, produced by El Nuevo Insular and directed by Poli Suárez, aims to promote sports practice and inspire new generations, as well as to disseminate and preserve traditional Canarian sports. Filmed entirely in the Canary Islands, it accompanies the protagonists in their training, homes, and daily routines to reveal their difficulties, family experiences, and aspirations.
The stories feature footballer Misa Rodríguez, a member of the Spanish national team that won the World Cup; Bamba Gueye, a wrestler of Senegalese origin and an example of integration through Canarian wrestling; Marta Mansito, a sailor from the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria and a promising talent in sailing; Carlos Gimeno, a high diving specialist and world runner-up in cliff diving; and the Pila de Garrote Ichasagua, a collective led by Nanda Donate that promotes equality and inclusion through Canarian stick fighting.
Following its presentation at ExpoDeca, it is scheduled to be broadcast on Televisión Canaria, CanariasPlay, and the official channels of the Government of the Canary Islands. ExpoDeca 2026 will be held from November 12th to 15th at the Plaza de la Música in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits.
