The road, considered vital for the municipality's connectivity and running through urban areas, has recently undergone sealing and pothole repair work. However, the city council believes these interventions have been insufficient to address the widespread deterioration of the road.
Currently, the LP-107 exhibits significant irregularities, patched areas with level differences, and sections with severe wear. Furthermore, it has been noted that some of the material used in the last intervention has already come loose, leading to the reappearance of defects in numerous points along the route.
This situation not only highlights the need for a more profound intervention but also poses a risk to user safety.
The City Council has warned that the current state of the road significantly increases the risk of accidents. Vehicles, attempting to avoid potholes, are forced to invade the opposite lane, constantly creating dangerous situations for road users.
To document the situation, the council has sent the Cabildo a series of recent photographs illustrating the existing problems in different sections. The Las Cabezadas road is used daily by residents, public services, and visitors, underscoring the importance of maintaining it in optimal conditions.
Therefore, the Barlovento City Council requests a comprehensive technical assessment of the road and the urgent processing of an integral intervention to definitively improve the road surface, thereby ensuring road safety and the durability of the infrastructure.
