The Neighborhood Association ‘Amagro’ of Barrial, chaired by José García, will present this Friday the first ‘Amagro de Oro’ award, a new distinction to recognize individuals committed to the community.

The award will be presented to the mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa Monzón, in recognition of his connection and collaboration with Barrial and its neighborhood movement. The ceremony will take place on Friday at 9:30 PM in Plaza José Rodríguez Quintana.
The event will feature performances by Parranda Araguaney and Amanda Velasco. The Gáldar City Council has highlighted the importance of neighborhood associations as spaces for citizen participation and neighborhood revitalization.

"The creation of the ‘Amagro de Oro’ represents a grassroots initiative by the Barrial neighborhood movement to publicly acknowledge contributions that have positively impacted community life."
