The event, titled 'Connecting Youth, Building Canarias', aims to be a space for coexistence, participation, and collective creation. Over three days, young people will reflect on the Canary Islands' youth reality, share experiences, and generate new collaboration networks through culture, healthy leisure, and social participation.
The organization has arranged 40 free places that include accommodation, transport, and meals. Interested individuals, aged 18 to 30, can register until August 3rd via the provided link.
Daniel Morales, Director General of Youth for the Government of the Canary Islands, highlighted that the encounter is an opportunity for Canary Islands youth to meet, share experiences, and actively participate in building the future of the islands. He emphasized the importance of creating spaces where young people are protagonists and contribute their ideas to strengthen the Archipelago's bonds.
Morales stressed that youth participation is essential for a more democratic, cohesive, and inclusive society, and that the Directorate General of Youth continues to promote initiatives that foster dialogue, creativity, and social commitment among new generations.
The main objective of the encounter is to promote youth participation, cultural exchange, and collective reflection through an experiential program. It aims to foster coexistence among young people from different islands, create safe spaces for dialogue, boost creativity, promote healthy leisure, and reinforce the sense of belonging and Canarian identity.
The program will combine recreational, training, and cultural activities with reflection dynamics, creative workshops, participatory podcasts, and concerts, offering participants a platform to exchange knowledge and strengthen a contemporary, inclusive, and transformative vision of the Canary Islands.
The event is supported by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Agaete City Council, as well as the Spanish Youth Council and the Canary Islands Youth Council, entities linking the encounter with the DemocraZia con Z project.
