Gáldar Celebrates Pride with a Massive Reivindicative Parade

Hundreds of people from across the island enjoyed the Pride festivities in Gáldar, noted for its atmosphere, music, and respect.

The town of Gáldar was filled with color and reivindication during the Gran Cabalgata of Gáldar Pride 2026, an event that gathered hundreds of attendees from all over the island.

The Gáldar Pride 2026 celebration filled the streets of Gáldar with a spirit of tolerance, respect, and diversity. The parade, which traversed the municipality from Paseo de los Guanartemes to the Huertas del Rey Recreational Area, combined the joy of floats and music with reivindicative messages from the LGTBIQ+ community.
Hundreds of people from various parts of the island joined the procession, enjoying Pride festivities that are consolidating as a benchmark for their good atmosphere, music, and humor. The procession included musical groups and LGTBIQ+ associations.
The troupes Aragüimé and Kisamba, the Banda Archipiélago, and various batucadas such as Piratas del Caribe, Paixao, Samba Isleña, and Aborigen provided the rhythm and color to the parade.
Following the parade, the celebration continued with the Gran Mogollón del Gáldar Pride 2026, featuring performances by artists including Manny Manuel, Aseres, and DJ Inés Hernand. Sunday's events will include the Pride de Día at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta, with Kilombo Improvisado, Nueva Línea, and Armonía Show, as well as the Arkoiris Awards gala at the Centro Cultural Guaires.
