The eve of Gáldar's main day, celebrated on July 24th, transformed the city into a vibrant festival of light, fireworks, and live music. The 544th Fiestas Mayores de Santiago (Major Festivals of Santiago) featured an audiovisual spectacle on the facade of the Church, illuminating the sky with impressive pyrotechnics that contrasted with colorful video mapping projected onto the building's facade in time with the music.
The night also included a performance by Adrián Vega, El Vega Life, at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta (La Quinta Cultural Venue). The artist, one of Gáldar's most beloved figures, reconnected with his audience, performing hits such as “Agüita de coco”, “Pa vivirla”, “Amo la vida”, “Mi paraíso”, and his comeback song “Todo va a estar bien”.
The musical lineup was completed with performances by artist Monzón and singer Íñigo Quintero. The venue was at full capacity, and as a final surprise, an aerial show with 220 drones, perfectly synchronized, flew over the skies of Gáldar.
The company UMILES, a leader in the drone sector, executed an impressive choreography, forming up to 14 different shapes related to the spirit of Gáldar's festivals, as part of the 544th Fiestas Mayores de Santiago.
Concurrently, in the Plaza de Santiago (Santiago Square), the public enjoyed the tribute concert “La Otra Oreja el tributo a La Oreja de Van Gogh”, followed by a dance party with orchestras Armonía Show and La Combinación, and the participation of Aythami DJ. It was a memorable eve of festivities.
