Gáldar Hosts IV Island Craft Fair with Music and Local Talent

The event, organized by Gáldar City Council and FEDAC, will transform Santiago Square into a cultural showcase.

The IV Gáldar Island Craft Fair 2026 will take place this weekend, from April 17 to 19, in Santiago Square, bringing together around forty artisans and offering a diverse cultural program.

Organized by the Department of Socioeconomic Development of the Gáldar City Council, led by Tine Martín, and supported by FEDAC (Promotion for the Development of Canarian Crafts), this edition promises a blend of exhibition, direct sales, and live musical performances.
Visitors will be able to explore a wide range of craft specialties, from traditional techniques to innovative proposals. Disciplines represented include macramé, blacksmithing, creative recycling, crochet, ceramics, basketry, jewelry, artisanal toy making, and cigar rolling, showcasing the manual skill of the island's artisans.

The IV Gáldar Island Craft Fair 2026 is ready to open its doors to lovers of traditional culture and contemporary creativity.

The cultural program will begin on Friday, April 17, with the inauguration by Marta Bolaños, who will present her musical project Makasi. On Saturday, April 18, singer and clarinetist Ana Gil will offer her show Ad Libitum, followed by the special concert Timples y otras pequeñas guitarras del mundo, X aniversario, featuring prominent figures such as Germán López and Yone Rodríguez. The day will conclude with the Parranda de Teror.
On Sunday, April 19, the fair will coincide with the traditional Gáldar Agricultural Market, creating a space where local products and artisanal creations will converge. Musical performances for the day will include Domingo 'El Colorao', accompanied by Julia Rodríguez and Juan Carlos Pérez, and the closing act by the Tenerife-based group Son 21.
