The penultimate round of the Disa Gobierno de Canarias men's regional league is set to be decisive for Gáldar Ybarra and Almogarén, who need victories to guarantee their playoff presence.

The teams from Valsequillo could mathematically seal their qualification if they win their respective matches. Gáldar Ybarra faces Rosario in Fuerteventura, while Almogarén travels to La Palma to play Tazacorte. The Gáldar team could also benefit from other results.
In group A, Aridane visits Castillo in Sardina del Sur. A win for the Palmar team would place them as the new group leaders. Other matches in this group include Maxorata against Campitos and Bediesta against Guamasa.
Gáldar Ybarra (group B) is obliged to defeat Rosario de Fuerteventura this Friday to remain in control of their destiny. The remaining clashes in group B are Tetir against Tamanca and Victoria against Candelaria.
In group C, a victory for Almogarén against Tazacorte on Saturday would mathematically secure their playoff spot, and even allow them to contend for first place. Tegueste, without their PA Mamadou Cámara, faces Saladar de Jandía. Meanwhile, Rosario de Valle Guerra will play Castro Morales in Tenerife.
The matchday also includes the start of the women's playoff with quarter-finals. The island derby between Roque Nublo and Cafetería Pio Pio Santa Rita guarantees a Gran Canarian team in the semi-finals. Maninidra will face Tenercina, while Tetir will play Guamasa, and Candelaria will compete against Faro de Jandía.
In the second and third division competitions, with less at stake, matches will be played such as Unión Agüimes against San Blas and the decisive San Bartolomé against San Antonio Abad. In the third division, Castro Morales B, already qualified, faces Valle del Golfo herreño.
Furthermore, the project «lucha canaria escolar 4x4» was presented at the IES Montaña de Guaza in Arona, aiming to introduce this sport in educational centers. The initiative, sponsored by Ybarra, seeks to encourage youth participation.
Finally, in Sardina del Sur, the film «La Lucha» by José Alayón will be screened as part of the NOA project by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, followed by a discussion with local wrestlers and directors.
