After a break in August, this bi-weekly event, which has become a meeting point for producers and consumers in the north of Gran Canaria, resumes its activity. Attendees will be able to purchase fresh, local, and nearby products.
The organization is led by the Department of Socioeconomic Development of the Gáldar City Council, headed by Tine Marín Ojeda, and the Association of Agricultural Markets of Gran Canaria, with the collaboration of the Department of Primary Sector of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria.
The market's return in September comes with new features, including prize draws for baskets of local products for shoppers. Additionally, there will be more tastings prepared by students from the Training Programs in Alternation with Employment (PFAE) in Restoration and Cuisine, funded by the Canary Islands Employment Service.
The next editions are scheduled for September 20 and October 4 and 18, maintaining the bi-weekly schedule. The market offers a wide range of primary sector products and artisanal creations from the island, including seasonal fruits, vegetables, cheeses, honey, and sweets.
