Accompanied by a band of musicians, Marta Bolaños performed well-known songs such as Coisas Bunitas, Madera de Deriva, Lúa, Tonada de Luna, or Desfado, in addition to her own compositions A Cada Paso and Makumbia. The repertoire also included covers inspired by Macaronesian artists like Ana Moura, Mayra Andrade, or Sara Tabares.
The band accompanying Bolaños consisted of guitarist Misael Jordán, timple player Derque Martín, Javier Rodríguez on trumpet, Tana Santana on electric bass, and Shangó Dely on percussion.
The Makasi show, which premiered last year at the Teatro Hespérides de Guía, has since visited numerous locations in the Archipelago, consistently achieving great success in places like Teror during the Festival Teresa de Bolívar, at the Festival Biorritmo in Lanzarote, and in Gáldar and Agaete, among others.
The musical program for the patron saint festivals of La Virgen will continue today, Tuesday, with the Raíces Guienses festival, which pays tribute to the musical talent of artists from the municipality.
