The competition required participants to maintain balance on high heels and included challenges such as jumping on a trampoline, climbing a wooden wall, riding a tricycle, and scoring a goal. Speed while wearing heels was a main challenge, cheered on by an enthusiastic audience.
The event, filled with tumbles, falls, and balancing acts, generated much laughter and showcased the competitors' skills. Participants received applause and awards, both individual and team-based, solidifying the race as one of the most anticipated events of Gáldar Pride.
Gáldar Pride continues this weekend with the Grand Parade and the Mogollón on Saturday, followed by the Day Pride and the Arkoiris Awards gala on Sunday.
The Gáldar City Council reinforces its commitment to creating safe and inclusive spaces with Violet Points at the La Quinta Cultural Venue. These points offer prevention, attention, and information for situations of sexist violence or discrimination, activating response protocols in case of aggression.
This initiative, part of actions against Gender Violence, is coordinated by the Department for Equality and supported by Culture and Festivals. The aim is to promote respectful celebrations free from violence. Additionally, Global bus lines 105 and 401 have been reinforced to facilitate access to the events.
