The Puntagorda City Council and the Canarian Health Service have agreed to expand healthcare services in the municipality, incorporating new afternoon medical care and an additional day of pediatric attention, addressing a long-standing demand from residents.
Thanks to the efforts made, family medicine services in Puntagorda will be extended with two additional afternoons per week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting from April 20, 2026. This improvement complements the existing daily morning care and represents a step towards full coverage from 08:00 to 20:00 hours.
Furthermore, pediatric services will be reinforced with an extra day of weekly care. Starting from April 21, 2026, this service will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, benefiting the child population of the municipality.
