The General Directorate of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy of the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) has launched a blood donation campaign in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, to facilitate access for residents and visitors.

The mobile unit is set up at Los Pozos beach, next to the summer library. It will be operational today and tomorrow in the afternoon, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and on Thursday and Friday in the morning, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The SCS emphasizes the importance of regular blood donation to ensure that Canary Islands hospitals maintain the necessary reserves to meet healthcare demand.
Additionally, the fixed blood donation point at the General Hospital of Fuerteventura is open from Monday to Friday, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. It is recommended to request an appointment by calling 928 546 684.
The basic requirements to donate blood include being between 18 and 65 years old (up to 60 for a first-time donation), weighing over 50 kilograms, and being in generally good health, as well as not being pregnant.
