The Puerto del Rosario City Council has launched an initiative to help owners of empty commercial premises find tenants, offering image improvements and visibility at no cost.

The municipal corporation of Puerto del Rosario, capital of Fuerteventura, has initiated a program aimed at owners of inactive establishments in open commercial areas. The main goal is to facilitate the rental of these spaces and, consequently, revitalize the local economy.
Through the Smart Commerce project, and in collaboration with the company Redflexión, the council is identifying unoccupied premises to offer them a completely free support package. This includes improving the premises' image, signage, and their inclusion in a specific web directory, which will increase their visibility to potential tenants and interested businesses.

"What we seek is to activate those premises that are currently closed and turn them into real opportunities. We are providing owners with direct, cost-free support so they can rent their spaces more easily and with greater guarantees."

The Smart Commerce initiative is designed for those who own a closed premise or are considering renting it out, providing concrete tools to make it more attractive and competitive in the market. Additionally, business ideas adapted to each space and its location are offered, making it easier for future entrepreneurs to visualize its potential from the outset.

"We want anyone with an empty premise to know that they can count on this project. We help them improve their image, give them visibility on a specific website, and ultimately, make it easier for them to find interested parties to set up a business. It is a useful and very specific tool."
