The initiative aims to highlight the identity and traditions of the archipelago. Activities will begin in El Cotillo, which will host thematic days focused on culture, gastronomy, and Canarian roots during the first days of the celebration.
The highlight of the festivities will be the main day, held at the Public Square of El Cotillo. The day will include the traditional Great Canarian Popular Dance and the concert Canto al Trabajo, a stage performance that pays tribute to the agricultural and domestic work of ancestors.
In addition to the cultural offerings, the municipality has organized the Canarian Commercial Week, running from May 20th to 29th. This initiative includes an artisan market with 24 stalls and the La Ruleta El Tenderete campaign, designed to encourage consumption in local businesses through gift vouchers.
The program is completed with traditional cooking workshops, gastronomic contests, exhibitions of indigenous sports such as shepherd's leap and stick fighting, as well as various musical performances that will take place in Corralejo, La Oliva, and El Cotillo.
