The Puerto del Rosario City Council is participating in the Canary Islands Agricultural, Livestock, and Fishing Fair (FEAGA) 2026 with a stand that commemorates the visit of British writer Olivia Stone to the island in 1884, combining history, art, and the promotion of local products.

FEAGA, considered the most important fair for the primary sector in the archipelago, is hosting a unique space this year dedicated to Olivia Stone. The stand's design, entirely painted by the artist from Fuerteventura, Dailos Paniagua, and executed by the Municipal Services, recreates the landscapes and scenes that the writer depicted in her book Tenerife and its Six Satellites.
The British traveler was deeply captivated by the harshness and beauty of what was then known as Puerto de Cabras. Her legacy now serves as the central theme to showcase the municipality's emblematic products, such as local cheese and wines, which visitors can sample at the stand.

"The primary sector of Puerto del Rosario is more alive than ever. FEAGA is a source of pride, and our stand is the best calling card: tradition, quality, and a fascinating story to tell. I invite everyone to come and taste and learn about the history of Olivia Stone and that old Puerto de Cabras."
