The council of Puerto del Rosario has initiated a campaign to raise residents' awareness about the ecological harm caused by discarding cigarette butts in streets and natural areas. Personnel assigned to the 'Generating Opportunities' Employment Plan have recently carried out specific work collecting this waste in various parts of the capital of Fuerteventura.
Through this campaign, the municipal corporation calls for citizen collaboration and everyone's commitment to eradicate the abandonment of such waste. It is reminded that simple actions like using available bins or portable ashtrays are crucial for maintaining the municipality's cleanliness and preserving its natural wealth.
