This call, part of the Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020-2025, has a budget of 49,337 euros. The funds will be used to support improvements, conservation, and rehabilitation of residential properties within the municipality.
According to the Mayor of Hermigua, Solveida Clemente, registered residents and property owners can apply for these subsidies. The goal is to adapt homes for the elderly or dependent individuals, promote energy savings, and carry out general maintenance work.
The aid can cover up to 50% of the investment cost, with a maximum of 10,000 euros per application. Vulnerable groups may receive an increased coverage of up to 85%, based on the established criteria.
“"This line of subsidies is a fundamental tool to contribute to the recovery and maintenance of the municipality's housing stock, enabling families to improve their homes while simultaneously encouraging population settlement in rural areas."
The deadline for submitting applications is July 10, 2026. Full documentation, including bases and annexes, is available at the City Council's General Registry, its electronic headquarters' notice board, and the Official Gazette of the Province (No. 73, dated July 19, 2026).
Through this initiative, the municipal corporation reaffirms its commitment to sustainable rural development and the well-being of its inhabitants, promoting access to decent housing and maintaining the population fabric.
