Vallehermoso City Council approved measures in its latest plenary session for service improvements, including access route restoration and sports facility safety.

Vallehermoso City Council held a plenary session where various agreements were approved to optimize municipal management and public services. Among the decisions made, previous session minutes were given the green light.
Temporary material storage was authorized for the emergency work aimed at restoring access to the Erque and Erquito areas, which suffered damage due to Storm Therese. Additionally, the safety plan for the improvement works at the Las Manchas municipal football field was approved.
During the session, an opposition motion regarding the recognition of 'fogueo' as a singular act was debated and ultimately rejected due to disagreements. A motion on study grants was also withdrawn, as procedures for academic and social emergency aid are currently in progress.
A significant point was the approval, by majority and with the abstention of the sole opposition councilor, to delegate environmental assessment competencies to the competent body of the Government of the Canary Islands. The Island Council (Cabildo Insular) will be requested to delegate competencies, in accordance with the Land Law, to enhance local environmental management.
These resolutions underscore the council's commitment to safety, administrative efficiency, and environmental preservation, ensuring that municipal actions meet quality and sustainability standards.
