The Vallehermoso City Council is hosting the Comemos del Monte initiative this Saturday, May 23, a day dedicated to biodiversity and land stewardship at the Plaza de la Constitución.

The event, running from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, aims to highlight the connection between landscape, sustainability, and local culture. The program features a bio-market with various local producers and environmental groups, as well as a display of traditional seeds and educational talks on the importance of bees and environmental conservation.
The day will include creative workshops for families and a musical performance by the group ECOSS. In the evening, starting at 7:30 PM, the courtyard of the Hotel Rural Triana will host a scenic oral storytelling session, open to the public until capacity is reached.
This initiative is part of the Vallehermoso Tourism Sustainability Plan, funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU funds, with the collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Department of Tourism and Employment.
