Residents of the Erquito hamlet, in Vallehermoso, have communicated their awareness of recent problems in their area and the ongoing efforts to resolve them, highlighting the normalization of drinking water supply.

Residents from the hamlet of Erquito, located in the municipality of Vallehermoso, have issued a statement expressing their knowledge of the difficulties experienced in the area over recent months. They affirm being aware of the actions undertaken by both the Vallehermoso City Council and the Island Council of La Gomera to address these issues.
The affected parties note that the drinking water supply to homes has been restored to normal for approximately "15 to 20 days". They also recall that the Vallehermoso City Council is currently carrying out rehabilitation works on the access road to the population center. These projects are being funded through an agreement with the Island Council of La Gomera, which has contributed 2 million euros.
The residents understand that the execution of these works causes temporary difficulties, which will be overcome as the construction progresses. However, they express their "displeasure" and distance themselves from comments and statements attributed to "opportunistic people" from Iniciativa por La Gomera (IxLG). According to them, this group has "never been concerned" about the neighborhood's problems and is now acting out of self-interest as they are being resolved.
