Tourism in Lanzarote has mobilized 2,084.5 million euros between January and June of 2026, significantly exceeding the 1,902 million registered in the same period of 2025.

Lanzarote's tourism sector has experienced a notable economic boost during the first half of 2026, reaching a turnover of 2,084.5 million euros. This figure represents a considerable increase compared to the 1,902 million euros recorded in the first half of 2025, according to data from the Canary Institute of Statistics (Istac).
The first quarter of the year was particularly productive, generating 1,188.3 million euros, surpassing the 896.2 million from the subsequent quarter. With these results, the year-end is projected to reach approximately 4,300 million euros, which would surpass the 4,132 million mark set in 2025 and nearly double the 2,481 million figure from 2016.
The British market remains the main economic driver, with travelers mobilizing over 1,078 million euros in the first half of the year, accounting for more than half of the total volume. Domestic tourism contributed nearly 113 million euros, with moderate growth, while the German market registered over 207 million euros.
Other markets with specific weight, such as the Scandinavian one, contributed around 43 million euros, although with a slight decrease. Other nationalities, including Irish, French, Swiss, Dutch, and Italians, contributed a balance of nearly 590 million euros, showing a significant increase.
