The festivities combine tradition, community, and proposals designed for all ages. Mayor Alfredo Villalba highlighted the importance of these events as a meeting point for the community, encouraging citizens to participate actively. "The festivals of Mala are an opportunity to keep our traditions alive and enjoy the coexistence among neighbors," he stated.
For his part, the Councilor for Festivities, Alberto de León, emphasized the diversity of the proposals. "We have prepared celebrations with activities for all audiences, from workshops and games to music, dance, and our popular gatherings," he affirmed, aiming for "Mala to experience participatory festivals."
The program, which began on September 17, includes workshops, storytelling by narrator Vicki Dos Santos and musician Aarón Márquez, and a surprise bingo. September 18 will feature an adult playback show and a popular festival with performances by Swing del Norte and Vocal Force.
Saturday, September 19, will be dedicated to fun and traditions with children's games and the traditional popular pilgrimage accompanied by the Agrupación Tisalaya. The day will continue with the Baile del Romero and performances by Son del Norte, Los Gurfines son los del Puerto, the parranda La Aldaba, and Son de Mar.
Sunday, September 20, will host the Tapas Day, with community preparation of rosettes, water inflatables, a foam party, and performances by DJ Juan Hernández, Swing del Norte, Grupo Alegranza, and Grupo Arpegio, concluding with an Artistic Gala.
On September 21, there will be a candle workshop, the draw and start of the Truco Championship, and a children's playback show featuring Yoriel Cabrera Viñoly. On September 22, the Tortilla Contest and the Ronda Championship will take place, followed by the Dance Gala with the schools Báilame, Daniel de la Rosa, and MT Dance.
September 23 will include a children's watercolor workshop, a dessert contest, and a juggling performance by African Show. The main day, September 24, will feature the holy mass and procession in honor of Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes, accompanied by the Grupo Alborada Peña Lentisco, concluding with a hot chocolate tasting.
The Haría City Council reminds attendees that some activities require prior registration and encourages consulting the full program to contribute to the spirit of community and traditions in Mala.
