The celebrations, aimed at residents and visitors, will include traditional, cultural, children's, musical, and gastronomic activities. The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlighted that the festivities are an "opportunity to come together and keep alive traditions that are part of the identity of the town and the entire municipality".
The Councilor for Festivals, Alberto de León, emphasized the work done to offer a "varied program, designed for all ages, encompassing music, folklore, sports, traditional games, crafts, and children's activities".
The program will begin on Monday, August 31, with the traditional decoration of the town and facades, a rondalla dance workshop, ronda championships, a boxing demonstration, and the Km0 Market. The day will also feature a parade of giants and big-heads, enlivened by the batucada of the Los Yaiseros comparsa, and a tribute to Jesús Perdomo Ramírez on the tenth anniversary of the El Marinero Neighbors Association, accompanied by performances from Atlántico Trío and Ciro Corujo.
In the following days, traditional games, rosette and macramé workshops, children's activities, gymkhanas, gastronomic contests, and championships of bola, envite, truco, and chinchón will take place, along with activities for the elderly, musical performances, and events linked to local traditions. The Km0 Market will also be present throughout much of the week as a showcase for the talent and products made by artisans.
Among the highlighted events is the traditional Burning of Los Costeros on Thursday, September 3, followed by a popular barbecue accompanied by the Agrupación Folklórica Guagime and the parrandas Gurfines son los del Puerto and Pal’ Porrón. Previously, the Folkloric Group Blimea from Asturias will perform.
Music will also play a significant role. On Friday, September 4, a Drag Queen Gala will be held, followed by a popular street party with Lanzarote Swing and the orchestras Rikabanda and Mambo con Fuego. Saturday, September 5, will feature the romería (pilgrimage), with dancing by Son del Mar, Son del Norte, Malpeis, and Swing del Norte.
On Sunday, September 6, the pier area will host the Water Festival with water inflatables, while in the afternoon, the Tapas Festival will take place in the ventorrillos area, with performances by Arpegio, Jaleo, Alegranza, and Son de Gofio. The day will conclude with the raffle draw for the Nuestra Señora del Pino 2026 Festivities.
The events will conclude on Tuesday, September 8, with the holy mass at 7:00 PM, followed by a procession accompanied by the group Alborada.
