Crews from the 'Fuerteventura, bonita por naturaleza' program have initiated an intensive intervention in Costa Calma, responding to a request from the Pájara Town Council. These works are concentrated on eleven specific areas, distributed on both sides of the FV-2 road, which runs through the tourist hub.
The initiative aims to transform the pedestrian pathways connecting the upper and lower parts of the town, including access to the coast, as well as other points of interest such as parking lots and secondary roads. This 'shock action' will extend over the coming weeks, promising a significant improvement in local infrastructure.
The Works and Machinery Service of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through Gesplan, is responsible for executing this plan. The tasks include cleaning, clearing, pruning, and general rehabilitation of public spaces, with the dual objective of enhancing Costa Calma's tourist image and facilitating pedestrian traffic.
The eleven intervention zones have been strategically selected, many of them arranged radially along the FV-2. Additionally, interventions are being carried out in parking lots and secondary roads, with tasks ranging from cleaning and conditioning new parking areas to clearing and pruning pedestrian corridors.
