The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the Insular Water Council, has launched the tender for improvements to the Ciervo Ravine in Morro Jable, Pájara, with an investment of 1.1 million euros.

These works, valued at over one million euros, aim to optimize the hydraulic performance of the channel, which currently faces challenges due to sediment accumulation and difficulties in cleaning and maintenance. The intervention will ensure the stability of the ravine and, consequently, the safety and well-being of local residents.

"Not only is the stabilization of the ravine guaranteed, but also the well-being and safety of the residents of the area."

Lola García · Island President
The island president, Lola García, emphasized that this initiative is part of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura's commitment to improving the integral water cycle across the island. She highlighted the importance of maintaining the channels in optimal conditions to preserve the environment and address a demand from the Pájara Town Council.
For his part, the Water Councilor, Adargoma Hernández, stressed the relevance of these works in facilitating the drainage of ravines and channels, simplifying maintenance tasks and mitigating the risk of overflows during the rainy season. Interested companies have until May 4, 2026, to submit their bids on the State Contracting Platform.
