The Department of Transport of the Pájara City Council has launched the reform of the regulations governing the taxi service in the municipality. The primary goal is the modernization and enhancement of transport quality for both residents and tourists.
This regulatory update introduces tools designed to optimize service provision and overall operation. It also seeks to address the mobility challenges faced by municipalities with significant tourist influx.
“"Mobility needs have changed, technology has advanced, and the sector requires regulation that responds to current and future challenges."
The Councilor for Transport, José Díaz, indicated that the previously existing ordinance in the south of Fuerteventura had fundamental shortcomings. He emphasized that the evolution of mobility needs and technological advancements necessitate regulations adapted to the sector's present and future reality.
