Residents of the municipality of Pájara, in southern Fuerteventura, will soon have more accessible services for renewing their National Identity Document (DNI) and passport. The Insular Directorate of the General State Administration has promoted this decentralization initiative through a mobile unit of the National Police.
This mobile unit will travel to the town of Morro Jable on a monthly basis. During its initial visit, services will be available to the public on June 29th, as well as July 1st and 2nd. The scheduled hours for these procedures will be from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The chosen location for this mobile unit is the Plaza de los Pescadores in Morro Jable. The mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, highlighted the significance of this new service, stating that it "will prevent the southern population from having to travel to other parts of the island to carry out common procedures such as renewing their DNI or passport."
