The company Canalink has launched the tender for the construction of a new submarine cable station in Morro Jable, Pájara, with an investment of 481,339 euros, aiming to reinforce the energy and digital infrastructure of Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote.

Canalink, a company affiliated with the Cabildo de Tenerife through the Technological and Renewable Energies Institute (ITER), has opened a tender for the construction of a submarine cable station in Morro Jable, located in the municipality of Pájara. This project's primary goal is to provide robust energy services to the southern area of Fuerteventura.
This initiative will become part of the submarine cable ring that will interconnect the islands of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. The objective is to enhance the technological infrastructure of the archipelago, ensuring greater connectivity and improved digital resilience for the entire Canary Islands region.
The budget allocated for this tender amounts to 481,339 euros, funded by European funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR - NextGenerationEU), managed by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function. A three-month period has been set for the complete execution of the works and the supply of necessary materials.
The project's execution, encompassing everything from civil construction at the Morro Jable facilities to their full electrical and energy outfitting, will be subject to rigorous sustainability conditions. The selected company must ensure that all work is carried out with respect for environmental protection and strict adherence to European and national commitments to emissions reduction.
Technology and construction companies interested in participating in this process have until April 30 to submit their proposals through the Public Sector Contracting Platform.
