The Lidl supermarket located in Cruce de Arinaga, in the municipality of Agüimes, reopened its doors this Friday after completing a major renovation of its facilities.

The chain has invested nearly 6.5 million euros in modernizing the establishment. This project has expanded the sales area to 1,405 square meters and provided 98 parking spaces for customers.
The center is the first in the Canary Islands to implement the company's new commercial image. The interior design has been updated to provide more spacious and brighter areas, optimizing the customer experience through a new layout of the shelves.
Regarding employment, the renovation has led to the creation of six new jobs, bringing the total staff to 28 employees. Additionally, the project has integrated sustainability measures, such as the installation of 238 square meters of solar panels on the roof, capable of covering approximately 54% of the building's electricity consumption, along with charging points for electric vehicles.
