The event, running from 09:30 to 14:00, aims to promote marine conservation and public participation. The day will begin with a collective cleanup of the beach and seabed, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own protective gloves.
The program includes talks by experts from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on biodiversity, circular economy, and climate change. Collaborating entities include RedPROMAR, the Canary Islands Green Offices, and the Wildlife Recovery Center of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
Educational workshops, recycling activities, and performances such as La Ballena Borondona and Islazul are scheduled for children. The event will conclude with the release of rehabilitated sea turtles, highlighting the local commitment to marine biodiversity protection.
