Ingenio Music School Receives New Equipment Valued at 8,400 Euros

The School of Music of the Sociedad Musical Villa de Ingenio (SMVI) has incorporated new equipment, including a double bass and trombone, thanks to an 8,400 euro grant from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.

The School of Music of the Sociedad Musical Villa de Ingenio (SMVI) has received new material valued at 8,400 euros, funded by a grant awarded by the Department of Education and Youth of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. This aid, part of the call for musical instruments and accessories, has facilitated the acquisition of a double bass, a trombone, 21 music stands, and a tumbadora and conga with a stand.
During the presentation of the new equipment, the mayor of Ingenio, Vanesa Martín, highlighted the importance of institutional collaboration in strengthening musical education, emphasizing the continuous commitment to culture. For his part, the Councilor for Culture and Education, Sebastián Suárez, expressed his satisfaction and noted that the Cabildo's funds will allow for the offering of more places and the improvement of the school's capabilities.
The director of the School of Music, Álvaro Díaz, positively assessed the arrival of the new material, emphasizing that it will enable the center to be equipped with the best conditions for musical teaching. He thanked the support from the Ingenio City Council and the Cabildo de Gran Canaria for their commitment to music education and the artistic talent of the municipality.
