La Tasquita de Arinaga opens its doors this Wednesday on Alcalá Galiano street, next to the Pier, combining the tradition of pinchos and tapas with local Canarian products.

A new dining establishment, La Tasquita, opened its doors this Wednesday on Alcalá Galiano street, next to the Arinaga Pier. The business, owned by Kilian García, aims to introduce the culture of traditional pinchos and tapas to the municipality, emphasizing the use of local products and Canarian gastronomy.
The mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, and the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Cati Suárez, visited the premises to offer their support. García explained that the concept is inspired by classic tapas bars, adapting the culinary richness of the islands and fusing traditional recipes with original creations that highlight local products.
The menu offers a variety of pinchos and tapas, including classics like anchovies, boquerons, Russian salad, and Spanish omelette, alongside house specialties such as a version of 'ropa vieja' made with chickpeas and pork cheek from Gran Canaria. The selection is complemented by wines from regional designations like Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and La Palma, as well as beers from the archipelago.
Kilian García highlighted the strategic location of the establishment, near the beach and the pier, a popular spot for both residents and visitors. The goal is to become a reference point for enjoying an aperitif or tapas with friends in a privileged setting.
Mayor Óscar Hernández congratulated the owner on the initiative, which expands the municipality's gastronomic offerings. He particularly valued the effort to revive the culture of aperitifs and pinchos, complementing events like the Arinaga Pinchos Night, and noted the establishment's growth potential due to its coastal location, expressing confidence that it will become a new meeting point.
