The municipal winery Señorío de Agüimes has concluded the 2026 harvest with a production that nearly doubles the previous campaign, reaching approximately 1,700 kilos of grapes of various varieties, and with outstanding quality according to initial analyses.

The 2026 grape harvest in the municipality of Agüimes has concluded with very positive results for the municipal winery Señorío de Agüimes. Nine local winegrowers collected approximately 1,700 kilograms of grapes from the Listán Blanco, Malvasía, Vijariego Blanco, and Moscatel de Alejandría varieties.
This figure represents almost double the production obtained in the previous campaign, which was affected by adverse climatic conditions. The harvest volume is also 30% higher than in 2024, returning close to the 2023 production levels and confirming the positive trend of cultivation in the area after two years of scarcity.
Preliminary analyses conducted by technicians indicate that this year's grapes exhibit excellent quality, both in their organoleptic characteristics and maturation parameters. Following the unusual early harvest in 2025 due to high temperatures, the 2026 harvest returned to the second half of August, a more typical date for the midlands of Gran Canaria's Southeast.
The new vintage of Señorío de Agüimes semi-sweet white wines is expected to be bottled and ready for consumption starting next December. Since its establishment in 2000, the municipal project has promoted local viticulture, supporting agricultural activity and the wine sector, which has a long historical tradition in Agüimes.
In its 26 years of history, Señorío de Agüimes wines have received over thirty awards at island, national, and international levels.
