More than 800 boys and girls are enjoying the multi-sport campuses organized by the Municipal Sports Service of Agüimes this summer, including activities like soccer, kayaking, and volleyball.

The multi-sport campuses organized by the Municipal Sports Service of Agüimes, in collaboration with local clubs, are bringing together over 800 children and young people during the summer period. The mayor, Óscar Hernández, and the Councilor for Sports, Alberto Santana, visited the participants to encourage them to maintain healthy lifestyles.
Various sports activities are offered, such as soccer, futsal, volleyball, and kayaking. Although there are 650 available spots, weekly access allows the total number of participants to exceed 800. The soccer campus at Cruce de Arinaga is the largest with 207 participants, followed by basketball at the Arinaga Sports Center (100) and other campuses like kayaking at Arinaga Beach (65) and volleyball at Montaña de Los Vélez (64).
This initiative, established as one of the most anticipated summer offerings, goes beyond recreation. It serves as support for families during holidays, facilitates work-life balance, promotes the adoption of healthy habits through sports, fosters coexistence and friendship, and contributes to the development of values such as camaraderie, effort, respect, and teamwork.
