Santa Lucía de Tirajana is preparing for its San Juan festivities with the return of the House of Terror, inspired by 'Goya's Ghosts,' and the Fire Night in Pozo Izquierdo, offering music and aquatic spectacles.

The traditional House of Terror, one of the most anticipated summer events in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, will open its doors from June 18th to 26th. This year, the horror attraction features a new theme inspired by Goya's renowned Black Paintings, recreating the Aragonese artist's dark and disturbing scenes across thirteen themed rooms.
The setup, created by the Municipal Animation Workshop, will offer approximately 15-minute sessions and is recommended for ages 13 and up. Tickets, priced at two euros for the box office and three euros online, will be available from June 9th at 4:00 PM. Mayor Francisco García highlighted the efforts of the nearly 130 volunteers who make this initiative possible, noting that tickets typically sell out for all sessions.
Meanwhile, Culture councilor Sergio Vega praised the involvement of municipal staff and the Animation Workshop, a group also contributing to events like the Carnival Allegory.
The festivities will culminate on June 23rd with the Fire Night at the barranquillo of Pozo Izquierdo. Starting at 8:30 PM, the evening will blend live music and aquatic fireworks. The stage will open with 'La otra Oreja,' a tribute to La Oreja de Van Gogh, followed at 10:30 PM by 'Rayando el Sol,' a homage to Maná. Musical entertainment between concerts will be provided by DJ Ulises Acosta.
