The Agüimes Town Council managed the removal of two bee swarms from the municipality's historic center over the past weekend, ensuring their safe relocation.

The swarms were detected at two specific locations: one on Venezuela Street, where they were attached to a wall, and the other near the Church of San Sebastián. The intervention was carried out in a coordinated manner to ensure the protection of both citizens and the insects.
Municipal sources explained that the appearance of these swarms is a sporadic phenomenon, more frequent during flowering seasons, when bees seek new places to establish their colonies. After receiving the corresponding notices, personnel from the Rural Development area took charge of the removal.

"It is essential not to handle or approach these swarms and to notify municipal services for their removal, avoiding unnecessary risks."

The collected bees were transferred and relocated to private beehives, a measure that actively contributes to the conservation of these insects. Bees are essential for environmental balance and pollination, highlighting the importance of their protection.
