The festival, marking three decades of honoring the work of the neighborhood's fishermen, is expected to draw thousands of attendees. A new feature this year is the participation of the boat ‘Vicente Hernández’ from Punta Mujeres in Lanzarote, which will parade with a group of ten enthusiasts of maritime celebrations.
In total, 18 boats will take part in the parade. Alongside three fixed points along the Avenida de Los Pescadores, over 1,200 kilos of sardines will be grilled for attendees.
To ensure the event's safety, a comprehensive security operation will be in place, involving nearly 200 professionals from the Guardia Civil, Local Police, Canary Islands Police, private security, and the drone unit of the Telde City Council.
To facilitate access, approximately 1,000 parking spaces have been arranged in various areas of Arinaga, including the industrial zone, the Canal area, and near the sports center.
The main event on Friday will be preceded on Thursday, August 27th, by the Noche de Pinchos (Tapas Night), offering gastronomic and musical entertainment with a performance by Tataband. The festivities continue on Saturday, August 29th, with family-oriented activities, including a petanque tournament, a children's show by magician Aníbal, and music at the Caseta del Muelle. Saturday night will conclude with an 80s party hosted by Los 40 Classic in Arinaga's main square, featuring performances by Arístides Moreno & 101 Brass Band and The GafaPasta, along with a set by DJ Juan Borrás.
