Week of traditions and tomato packing in Ingenio

The Folkloric Group Las Mahoreras organizes cultural events from July 13 to 17 to promote neighborhood coexistence and value local customs.

The Ingenio City Council, through the Folkloric Group Las Mahoreras, is holding a week of cultural activities at the social center from July 13 to 17. The aim is to foster neighborhood coexistence and highlight local traditions, with a special focus on the tomato packing trade.

The cultural events will take place at the group's venue starting at 7:30 PM. The week of activities will commence on Monday, July 13, with the opening of a photographic exhibition dedicated to tomato packing.
On Wednesday, July 15, a music and dance workshop will be held, followed by a theatrical performance about tomato packing, presented by the group Armando Gopar.
The main event will take place on Thursday, July 16, coinciding with the feast of the Virgen del Carmen. Activities will begin at 6:30 PM with the Holy Mass. Afterwards, a tribute will be paid to Carmelo Hernández Rivero, with the participation of the Folkloric Group Las Mahoreras.
The program of activities will conclude on Friday, July 17. Starting at 7:30 PM, the afternoon will be dedicated to traditional board games, thus closing days of events aimed at remembering customs and strengthening community bonds.
