Maximum temperatures predicted for Monday will reach 30 degrees Celsius in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 25 degrees in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with minimums around 23 and 22 degrees respectively. The trade winds will blow moderately to strongly, intensifying in the southeast and northwest slopes of several islands, where very strong gusts, potentially exceeding 80 kilometers per hour in the afternoon, are not ruled out.
Regarding sea conditions, winds from the northeast or east are expected in Canarian waters, force 5 to 6, possibly increasing locally to 7. There will be moderate to rough seas, with a northeast swell of 1 to 2 meters, according to Efe.
The detailed forecast by island indicates cloudy intervals in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, with the presence of high-altitude haze and maximum temperatures exceeding 30 ºC in inland and southern coastal areas. In Gran Canaria, notable highs are expected in midlands and inland areas, potentially surpassing 35º C in the southeast, south, and west, as well as in the Tejeda basin.
For Tenerife, a significant thermal increase is anticipated in midlands and high areas, exceeding 30-32 ºC, with strong winds on the southeast slope and the northwestern tip. In La Gomera, maximum temperatures will also rise notably in midlands and high areas, exceeding 30-32º C in the south, with very strong gusts on the eastern and northwestern slopes.
On La Palma, maximum temperatures will reach 30 ºC in the western midlands, with probable very strong gusts in the southeastern and northwestern extremes. Finally, in El Hierro, maximum temperatures could exceed 30º C in the southern midlands, with strong winds and probable very strong gusts in the southeastern and northwestern extremes.
