The IV Dunas Hotels & Resorts Open concluded at the emblematic Maspalomas Golf course with Marco Antonio Martín's victory in the scratch category. Martín achieved a total of 38 strokes, two under par, with five birdies, three bogeys, and ten pars. The event saw 112 players enjoy exceptional course conditions.
The competition followed an individual stableford format, featuring three handicap categories for gentlemen and two for ladies, along with special scratch prizes and an award for the best senior player. In the men's 1st category, Alejandro Quevedo took first place with 39 points, followed by Marcos Rey, also with 39. Antonio Guerra won the 2nd category with 39 points, while Frank Brandt came second with 37. Cristian Herrera triumphed in the 3rd category with 45 points, followed by José Manuel Martín with 44.
In the ladies' competition, Magüi Serna led the 1st category with 36 points, and Asunción Benítez was crowned winner of the 2nd category with 31 points. The award for the best senior went to Armando Juárez. The winners earned their spot in the Grand Final of the XXVIII Maspalomas Golf Circuit, along with stay vouchers, watches, green fees, and golf equipment.
Special prizes recognized the longest drive for gentlemen on the 9th hole (Fernando González) and for ladies on the 10th hole (Conchi Monzón). Carmen Aymerich won the nearest-to-the-pin on the 3rd hole (ladies), and Francisco Javier Rodríguez on the 16th hole (gentlemen). The awards ceremony was held at the Hotel Suites & Villas by Dunas, presided over by Moez Cherif, André Herren, and Valeria Valerii.
It was also announced that the next event in the Maspalomas Golf Circuit will be the XXIII Seaside Collection Hotels "Benéfico Ciudad San Juan de Dios" Tournament on June 20th, which will also serve as a qualifier for the Grand Final.
