The gala, hosted by Roberto Herrera and Jia Miles, featured musical performances by artists such as the Gran Canarian singer Kimy Tow, a finalist from La Voz 2025, Izán Llunas, and Nadine Coyle, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere.
This year's Freedom Awards recognized a Gran Canarian comedian, the destination Maspalomas Costa Canaria, a Canarian influencer, and, posthumously, a prominent collaborator. The awards were presented by various local authorities, including the mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and municipal councilors.
Additionally, Maspalomas Pride hosted the presentation of the Diverse Literature Award, considered one of the most important in Spain and supported by over 50 LGTB associations. This literary competition, now in its fourth year, is organized in collaboration with other entities and sponsored by various companies and media outlets.
In this edition, two women were honored: a writer for her novel La memoria del olivo, and another Gran Canarian writer as a finalist for her work Creer también es volar. The awards were presented by representatives of the 'Pasaje Begoña' Association.

One of the most emotional moments of the night was the appearance of a giant cake, 80 centimeters tall, created by a creative pastry chef from Mogán, to celebrate the event's 25th anniversary. The cake, which depicted the anniversary logo, was the result of two weeks of work.
The program for Sunday, May 10, includes an 'Ice cream pool party' at the Hotel Seven Maspalomas, the presentation of a novel at the Reading Tent, and the closing gala 'Sunday Night Pride Closing Show!' at the Yumbo, featuring performances by international and Canarian artists. The night will conclude with the 'FREEDOM Party 'Beyond the stars' gala, with music from Spanish DJs.
The 25th edition of Maspalomas Pride by Freedom is sponsored by the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, and the Government of Canarias, in addition to the support of various companies and associations.
