The Mogán City Council has estimated the economic impact of storm Therese on public infrastructure at 222,700 euros, including completed repair works.

According to Mayor Onalia Bueno, who reported on Thursday, the most significant portion of this budget is allocated to rebuilding the access to the Arguineguín football field. Although this sports facility is located in the neighboring municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, its management and access fall under Mogán's responsibility. The cost of this work amounts to 140,000 euros, with an additional 1,200 euros for removing asphalt from the access road.
The remaining damages include 77,000 euros for destruction on the El Pinar road and 4,500 euros for the use of machinery in cleaning tasks in ravines affected by the storm.
Among the consequences of storm Therese, a rockfall also occurred on the cliff bordering the coastal promenade between Arguineguín and Patalavaca, specifically in the section between the Sunwing hotel and the Servatur Green Beach.

"We had already requested it before, but after this collapse, we will insist again."

The mayor announced that a technical report is being prepared to notify Costas about this incident and request supervision of the cliff's condition. Meanwhile, NC councilor Juan Manuel Gabella has criticized the City Council for not taking preventive measures and reminded the local government of the importance of ensuring citizen safety.
