The Mogán Sunset Run is back this Saturday in Arguineguín, reviving the spirit of the former Arguineguín Popular Race. The event has reached its full capacity with 330 participants registered across various categories.
The main event features a five-kilometer race along the sea, starting and finishing at the pedestrian section of Avenida Playa de Las Marañuelas. The 2.5-kilometer circuit will be run twice, allowing participants to enjoy the sunset over the coast of Mogán.
In addition to the main race, events have been organized for younger participants: Baby Kids (400 meters), Mini Kids (800 meters), and Milla Kids (1.6 kilometers). Starts will be staggered from 8:00 PM onwards, beginning with the children's categories.
The organization will award prizes to the top finishers in the five-kilometer race and will present a special recognition for The Mile, to the fastest male and female runner over that specific mile-long segment.
After the races, the day will continue with a festive atmosphere in the Las Marañuelas area, featuring live music by Los Salvapantallas, aiming to be a summer gathering point.
The Councilor for Sports Events, Luis Becerra, highlighted the goal of combining sports, leisure, and the coastal environment, a proposal that has been very well-received by runners.
