The intervention, designed by the municipal company Gesvisur, aims to update a residential area built in the 1970s. The plan includes the complete renewal of sewage and water supply networks, public lighting, low voltage, and telecommunications, as well as a reorganization of public spaces.
The project includes the creation of new community areas, such as playgrounds, pet areas, urban gardens, and physical activity zones for the elderly. Currently, the council is seeking funding to begin the first phase, focused on the sewage network, which has a budget of 430,000 euros.
In parallel, the El Patronato Experimenta initiative has been launched, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands and the city council. This program seeks to gather neighborhood proposals to boost community life and improve shared spaces in the neighborhood.
Residents interested in participating can submit their ideas until September 24. After the proposals are selected, a collaboration period will open in October to develop the chosen projects, culminating in a public presentation of the results.
