The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has initiated the tender process for the construction of 52 subsidized homes in Lomo de Maspalomas, a project with a budget of 9.47 million euros and an execution period of 30 months.

The Housing Department of San Bartolomé de Tirajana is promoting this initiative on plot R2 of Lomo de Maspalomas. The regional public company Visocan has published the tender, framed within the Municipal Strategic Housing Plan, following the formalization of an agreement between both entities in January 2026, according to a local government statement.
The execution will be carried out through a mixed contract that includes project drafting, construction management, and execution of works. This modality aims to optimize deadlines and accelerate the launch of the development. The base tender budget amounts to 9.47 million euros, with an execution period of 30 months, and includes parking spaces and storage rooms. The deadline for submitting offers is May 13, 2026, as per the call published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform.
Furthermore, construction will utilize partially industrialized techniques, combining workshop manufacturing processes with on-site execution. This system allows for reduced construction times, improved building quality, and minimized work impact, thereby accelerating the delivery of subsidized housing.

"This tender represents the effective start of the municipal project that responds to a historical demand after decades without public housing promotion. We are not talking about plans on paper, but about projects that are already entering the execution phase, activating public land and mobilizing investment to provide real solutions to residents."

Alejandro Marichal · First Deputy Mayor

"This tender responds to the commitment made to citizens and represents the first step to materialize the agreement signed with Visocan. The goal is for works to begin by the end of 2026, complying with the deadlines set in the Housing Plan."

Lucía Jiménez · Councillor for Housing
This action is part of the Municipal Strategic Housing Plan, which foresees the construction of more than 260 public homes between 2026 and 2027, with an estimated total investment of around 35 million euros. The plan includes 152 homes for sale and 112 affordable rental homes, distributed in different parts of the municipality and in various development phases.
With this first tender in Lomo de Maspalomas, the Housing Department of San Bartolomé de Tirajana moves from planning to execution, implementing a structural strategy to expand the supply of subsidized housing and facilitate access to decent housing for residents and families in the municipality.
