The National Police has dismantled several drug distribution points in Adeje, Tenerife, during two electronic music festivals, leading to five arrests and over a hundred sanctions.

The operation, carried out by the Spanish National Police in southern Tenerife, focused on preventing drug trafficking at mass events. Police action took place on April 3 and 4, coinciding with two festivals that gathered over 5,000 attendees and featured international artists, increasing the complexity of the security deployment.
The intervention resulted in the arrest of five individuals—four men and one woman—accused of alleged public health offenses. In addition to the arrests, 116 administrative sanction proposals were processed under the Citizen Security Law, mainly for possession and consumption of drugs in public spaces.
The security operation was designed in collaboration with the Adeje Local Police and received crucial support from the Canine Unit, specialized in drug detection. This coordination allowed for selective action at access points and within the venues, minimizing risks for attendees.
The investigation revealed that the detainees were carrying drugs already divided into individual doses, ready for direct sale inside the festivals. Seized substances included synthetic drugs such as MDMA, cocaine, the so-called “tusi” or pink cocaine, as well as psychotropic drugs like hashish and marijuana. Cash, allegedly from illicit activities, was also confiscated.
